This course is designed to provide details about Wasco’s MyGoals process. Wasco’s MyGoals was designed to encourage more frequent communication and information exchange between leaders and employees. Through regular check-ins, leaders and employees have brief conversations about progress toward goals, successes, and improvements.
Check-in meetings are structured one-on-one discussions
between employees and their leaders designed to support employee success
through reflection, planning, problem-solving, and honest and constructive feedback.
Each Check-in is designed to recap input that has been provided to an employee. When conducting a Check-in, leaders should focus on the
employee’s successes, areas where improvement can be achieved, goals and
development opportunities.
Ultimately, effective and continual feedback is
designed to do two things:
(1) reinforce positive work behaviour so that
the employee will repeat the desired behaviour in the future, and/or (2)
redirect work behaviour that needs improvement so the employee can make adjustments
moving forward.
